Debbie Overton a southern girl born and raised in Arkansas now living on the southeast coast of Georgia is a mixed media artist focused on incorporating multiple layers of texture and color into her vintage-inspired work. In addition to acrylic paints, water media and glazes, she uses antique and vintage papers, as well as torn or textured paper, vintage sewing patterns and sheet music or printed text. Mediums such as glass bead gel, fiber paste, pumice gel and molding paste can also be found on her canvases. Her artwork has been exhibited in various galleries and art shows in Arkansas and Georgia , and has been published in art magazines, as well as an altered art book. |
