Born and raised in Paris, France, Karine moved to Africa in 2005. A photographer and Mixed-Media artist, Karine finds inspiration in travels, safaris and books and often incorporates her photographs in her mixed-media pieces.
She creates collages, assemblages and alters objects.

"Factory" Mixed-media on canvas 12.5" x 11.8" x 1.3" Factory is a mixed-media composition on a stretched canvas painted with acrylic and layered with bits of paper, more acrylic paint, ink, stamped images, paper ephemeras, mica, rusted metal part. Metal wires, strings and watch mecanismes were used too. The "photograph" is an original negative on glass taken circa 1915 representing workers in a factory. The canvas is painted on the sides and is ready to be hung up on a wall. The back is signed and includes the name of the piece. $90.00 + $35 shipping (This item ships DHL from Tanzania)
