A southern girl by birth, Patsy Reeves is a self-taught multi-media artist who loves faded, worn colors and eclectic designs.  She works in oils, collage, encaustic, silks, assemblage, watercolor and furniture.  No matter what style or medium I use, color harmony is a primary focus.   I want the viewer to have a reason that the piece of art should be in their environment.  Part of my mission in art is to give beauty through color, a symbol or of an image of a place you might like to visit or have been.  Art completes a home, not as a luxury, but as a necessity for creating an environment that gives one a sense of contentment.  If I give you a sign, a laugh, a desire to travel or joy just looking at a color, then I have done my job.
